The rooftop lounge UNLISTED at 3 Freeman Alley Hotel provides 360-degree views of New York City’s skyline as well as a worldly cocktail menu that defines a genre. This flashy rooftop is rich in Lower East Side tradition, street art, music, and a broad choice of inventive bar meals.
The evening begins with a stroll down a narrow alleyway filled with vibrant street art and graffiti. While this art is carried through UNLISTED through three custom murals painted by renowned curators Stikki Peaches, Taroe, and Clown Soldier, the bar itself veers more to the earthy side, with velvet seating in shades of mustard and green and disco balls scattered throughout.
But the show’s star here is expertly crafted cocktails and upgraded bar bites, which pay tribute to famous NYC cuisine and organizations.
A homage to the famous Long Island City water tank, the Rosenwach, for instance, blends chamomile, honey, and pisco and is served in a 3D-printed water tower vessel.
The Red Handed, a drink blended with Irish whiskey, apple, and lemon verbena, is served in a customized spray paint can honoring the area’s street artists.
